The Chi Kung Taster Mini-Workshop
given by Roy Mulholland, (Shosei) Founder of Satoro, Herbalist, Naturopath, Iridologist. Known as the 'Barefoot Doctor', 40 years experience.
November 14th from 7pm – 9pm Rogerson Suite, Currie Rugby Football Club, Balerno, EH14 7AF
Chi Kung is the mother health system from which Tai Chi derives. Chi Kung means cultivating energy. In a time of rapid and unexpected change Chi Kung is a way to stay calm and centered. The workshop is a time to mellow out, to reconnect with yourself and find internal harmony. These are way beyond just physical exercises, but involve re-aligning the energy in the chakras, stretching the energy pathways, getting to know the tsubi (acu points) and the correspondences between mouth/tongue digestion and the eyes/brain/liver.
It is a real, but a fun, learning experience. It would cover the significant subjects of;
What and where is 'The Hara'? Proper natural breathing,
Learning to breathe into the Hara, learning to center,
Rag Doll release of the muscles and tendons,
Getting out of anxiety,
Hara and internal organ massage,
Neck and shoulder release - along the meridians
Beautiful face massage and
Chi Kung exercises for the eyes.
Satoro demonstration
Cost; £10, concession rate for OAPs and children £8

'Setting Sacred Space with our intent, Breathing and Centering in the Hara, learning to move, think and smile from the Hara, balancing the seas of chi in the heart and Hara and connecting with universal energy.'
Satoro: The Tai Chi of Body Work is being prepared for publication as an ebook. Roy is always happy to receive feedback from expert reviewers, which can be fed into present and future editions of the book. If this sounds of interest, do get in touch!
